Jack & Heintz AN 5736-1 Gyro Horizon Indicator
(Mfr. P/N JH6500, S/N AF 43-8329)
This is a vacuum-driven WWII-era artificial horizon (attitude indicator) manufactured by Jack & Heintz, Inc. of Bedford, Ohio. It displays aircraft pitch and roll relative to the horizon and was a standard instrument in many U.S. Army Air Forces and Navy aircraft of the period, including fighters such as the P-38, P-40, P-47, and P-51, and bombers such as the B-17, B-24, and B-25. The AN 5736-1 designation was widely used across multiple manufacturers (Sperry, Ternstedt, Jack & Heintz, etc.) under military contracts.
Unless otherwise stated, all used airplane parts are sold as-removed and in the condition received. To the best of our knowledge, these parts were fully operational when removed.
