EDO-AIRE Attitude Gyro (artificial horizon)
Model 5000 B / P/N 23-501-06.
This is a vacuum-driven attitude indicator (artificial horizon). It uses a spinning gyro (powered by the aircraft’s vacuum system at roughly 4.5 ± 0.5 in. Hg) to give a stable pictorial display of pitch and bank attitude relative to the horizon. It is TSO C4C Type I certified, weighs 1.8 lb, and was made by EDO-AIRE in Wichita, Kansas (serial A245AF on this unit). These were common primary or backup attitude instruments in light GA aircraft (Cessna, Piper, Beech, etc.) from the 1960s–1980s era. Sigma-Tek later produced closely related 5000B-series instruments of the same basic design
Unless otherwise noted, all used aircraft parts are sold as-removed and in the condition received. To the best of our knowledge, these parts were fully operational at the time of removal.
